Young Girl

I have been crazy busy so this is the first time that I have truly had enough time to dedicate to a true post. Yesterday I was having a conversation with my best girl friend, whom resides in Philadelphia. She is a mentor at a local middle school and was telling me about her young mentee, a 14yr old 8th grader, who is also sexually active. My bestie further explained that she first began at 12 with a 16yr old boy. I felt terrible at the point, I truly had no words to describe how much I felt for this child. She is a baby that is confused and believes that being sexually active makes her mature, when in fact it is slowly deteriorating her esteem and encouraging unhealthy dependency of the opposite sex at an early age. A male at 16 is at a completely different level than a girl at 12. That four year age gap between, a teen and pre teen is completely detrimental. My bestie asked me what she should say to her. I gave her this analogy. A women's womb is like a locket, and men hold keys. A man with a master key is perceived as king, but women who opens up with any key is not holding anything sacred. Women, Ladies be great role models. Encourage one another, love one another be examples for the younger generation that are following our behaviors. It is never too late for any child, we can talk to as many people as we can and to ignite the light that rests within all women.

And while we are on the topic

I would like to just vent a bit on this subject. This past summer I learned a lot about the HIV virus and AIDS. I used to be afraid of even thinking about it, but now I have come to realize that everyone has the right to knowledge and remaining ignorant on the subject would not erase it from this world. AIDS is hitting the people in my age group the hardest, and plenty do not even know that they have it. This saddens me deeply because so many young people have amazing plans for themselves and something like this could completly defin their desires. Here today on my blog I wish to state that goin raw is not the look my people. No matter how good it feels, just don't do it, your life is worth more than getting a dude or girl off for that one moment. I am saying this because I truly do care about what is going in the world, yes I actually give a fuck. Pardon my language but things are getting really real out here my brothers and sisters. Love others, but love yourself more. To my ladies: our bodies are our temples. You are queens, goddesses, you are the earth. To my fellas: you are strong amazing human beings whose infinite wisdom should and can not be measured, in any form.

Just Do It.
